Ceyara sustainable Ceylon tea sourced from ethical Sri Lankan tea gardens supporting farmers and environmentally responsible tea production

Sustainability

Sustainably grown. Ethically sourced. Naturally crafted.

What sustainability means for us

At CEYARA, we believe a great cup of tea should taste good — and do good. That’s why sustainability lies at the heart of everything we do. From leaf to cup, we partner with growers committed to protecting the planet, uplifting communities, and preserving the natural goodness of tea.

Regenerative, Organic Farming

Our teas are sourced from Greenfield Bio Plantations, which uses certified organic and regenerative farming methods. By avoiding synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilisers, they protect soil health, safeguard water quality, and reduce environmental harm.

Protecting Biodiversity & Soil

Rather than relying on monocultures, organic farms often encourage plant diversity and natural habitats. This supports local ecosystems, conserves biodiversity, and helps maintain the natural resilience of the land.

Empowering Farming Communities

The farmers who cultivate our tea are not large corporations — many are smallholder farmers. Through fair trade practices, community support and ethical sourcing, we aim to ensure they earn a dignified income and can reinvest in their land and families.

Transparency & Quality Assurance

Every step — from cultivation to processing — meets high standards of organic quality and safety. Greenfield adheres to strict certifications and quality-assurance protocols before packaging and delivering products.

Why Sustainable Tea Matters

The journey from tea bush to teacup involves many environmental and social factors. Conventional tea farming — often reliant on pesticides, chemical fertilisers, monocultures and intensive water or land use — can degrade ecosystems, contribute to pollution, and strain water resources.

By contrast:

  • Organic and regenerative farming reduces chemical runoff, protects soil and water, and fosters healthier biodiversity.
  • Sustainable tea production can help mitigate climate impact. By reducing emissions from fertilisers and encouraging agroforestry or natural-forest-style farming, the carbon footprint per hectare is often lower than in conventional plantations.
  • Responsible sourcing ensures fair treatment of farmers and communities, helping preserve traditional livelihoods, encourage long-term land stewardship, and create stable incomes for smallholder farmers.

At CEYARA, we believe every cup you brew carries with it a commitment — to the planet, to communities, and to future generations.
